The configuration file provided with oEssentials is easy to follow and condensed to make setting up the resource a quick and simple task to prevent you from going through hundreds of lines of code. Most lines contain comments which allow users to understand what they are enabling, disabling or modifying to meet their needs.
DefaultOnDuty – If set to true will automatically put users on duty meaning that civilians will be required to do /offduty. If set to false, officers will need to do /onduty.
Display Settings – This setting allows you to customise the main text that is shown in chat when users go on duty, off duty and change their names (if configured)
Notifications – This setting allows you to show if notifications for stuff such as observations are shown above the minimap, in chat or both.
Addons – Due to the modular design of the resource this allows users to enable and disable portions depending on their server’s needs and already existing resources.
Framework – This is where you will indicate if your script is using the standalone version or utilising FMS and the data received from there, it’s as simple as putting ‘standalone’ or ‘fms’.
